چکیده
Background/Purpose: Oral Squamous cell carcinoma is sixth most common cancer with considerable morbidity and mortality. The microRNAs (miRNAs) are set of short RNAs involved in regulating the expression protein coding genes. They up or down-regulated carcinogenesis oral cancer. miRNA-31 (miR-31) increased Objective: To evaluate compare plasma squamous control subjects. Materials Methods: Case study was carried out 25 cases subjects normal level blood evaluated by miRNA easy kit (quagen) miRNA-based qRT-PCR. fold change observed compared between OSCC controls. Results: significantly patients to controls (p<0.001). moderately differentiated, grade 4 showed significant increase control, well differentiated 3 Conclusion: Our results indicate that miR-31 may be used as an adjuvant biomarker detection patient.

Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Fascin in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background and purpose: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the eighth most common cancer in men and the fifteenth in women. Localized recurrence and metastasis to regional lymph nodes are major problems in these patients. Fascin is a 55- kDa protein from the family of actin-binding proteins that is expressed in cells with membranous bronchial tubes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expre...
متن کاملComparison of Expression of p53 and bcl-2 Markers in Oral Lichen Planus and Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background and Aim: It has been suggested that oral lichen planus (OLP) can be a potential premalignant lesion. Reports are also available on the role of bcl-2 and p53 proteins in malignant transformation of OLP into oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Due to controversies in these reports, the present study aimed to compare the expression of p53 and bcl-2 markers in OLP and OSCC. Materials a...
متن کاملTissue eosinophilia in oral and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and normal oral and cutaneous tissues
Introduction: Eosinophils produce proteases that stimulate invasion in cancers. Due to the more malignant potential of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) compared to cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC), the aim of the present study was to compare tissue eosinophilia between OSCC and CSCC samples to understand whether tissue eosinophilia play a role in different biological...
متن کاملCircRNA_0109291 regulates cell growth and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance
Objective(s): Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a new class of non-coding RNAs, have emerged as important regulators during tumorigenesis. However, the functions of circRNAs have not been completely clarified in the progression of cancers. In our study, a novel circRNA hsa_circ_0109291 was investigated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and cell lines. Materials and Methods: The expression ...
متن کاملComparison of the Concentration of Salivary IL-8 in Patients with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Healthy Subjects
Background and aim: oral cancer is one of the most common cancers of the head and neck. Considering the high prevalence and mortality percentage of oral cancer and the significant advances in immunology and identification of different cytokines, the aim of the present study was to compare the concentration of IL8 in saliva of patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and healthy subject...
